Celtic Saints
As I wrote my Christmas letter this year, I waxed on and on about my Celtic Saints adventure! I have to say that my expectations for our trip were exceeded and it was something I shall remember for a lifetime. Perhaps at another time, I will be able to join you for another trip, but for now, I can sit back and be enveloped by my memories of that 10 days we spent together in the land of the Celts and the wonders we saw in the midst of it all. Bless you for making that opportunity possible (I had never traveled abroad before!) and may God continue to bring blessing to your life as you begin a new journey in the leaving of parish ministry!
From a couple who have taken three Sacred Story Journeys
Now we are home and able to catch our breath looking back to the pilgrimage to Greece and the Journeys of Paul was truly a wonderful adventure. I must say that the three Story Sacred Journeys we have been privileged to experience with you have been remarkable. Each so different and unique, yet having a similar impact in profoundly deepening faith and
understanding in fresh and new ways. You do have a very special ministry and are so very skilled in providing leadership It is a privilege to travel with you and we are most appreciative.
Israel/Palestine
What an amazing experience---I'm still overwhelmed. I am back at work now and I am fascinated to see how very different my world has become.... My hat is off to you, yours amazing talents and your vast warehouse of stories. What a life-changing experience it has been!
The total experience was great! To be in the Holy Land and places I knew
from the bible was almost mystical. The stories told by Dennis were worth the
trip itself. I was deeply moved---the expertise, the energy and the spirit---outstanding!
Not many things move me to tears, but the communion service at the garden tomb did!
I appreciated the kindness and attention to detail. Everyone's needs were considered, and no one was left out! I appreciated the devotions on the bus. Hearing God's word on the historical sites will never be forgotten.
Greece
This was truly "the trip of a lifetime" as you advertised;
certainly hope that we might be a part of some future trip!!
Camaraderie, accommodations, food, Loula (the Greek tour guide),
Dimitrious; storytelling, nightly meetings, buddy system; mostly I appreciated
walking where Paul walked—it brought the meaning of the Bible into focus and
brought me closer to God and my understanding of the Word.

The opportunity to be in the places where so much that affects
us as Christians took place; the baptism of Lydia; Paul at Corinth; John at
Patmos; the partaking of the Lord's Supper in Corinth.
Wonderful choice of sites; loved Lydia's baptism site especially.
Great bus and tour guides and accommodations—thanks!
Loved the traveling and
cruising; Philippi and Berea were extremely touching; hotels were fantastic,
except Larissa; Patmos was my favorite island.

faith and lives.
What I liked most was the
integration of biblical "study," worship and traditional travel; it was helpful
to have attracted like-minded people.
The feeling of community and love that was always being
encouraged; the organization of tour—punctuality of all (leaders and group),
and even if delayed we knew leaders were in control.
Hearing the stories in the places they occured or related
to; learning the history, geography, culture, etc. from such a knowledgeable
person as Loula; becoming part of a community of friends sharing in the love of
Christ; quality of hotels and lunch stops; itinerary well planned.
