We continue to the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Day 4 GALILEE
This morning we ascend the Golan Heights, drive north, looking over Syria, to Caesarea Philippi. It was here that Peter made his confession of faith. We return to the Galilee area with a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the feeding of the 5000 and Jesus' calling of Peter. We will visit the "Jesus Boat," discovered when the depth of the lake was lowered. It dates from the time of Jesus. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Day 5 GALILEE
We begin our day with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capemaum, where Jesus called His first disciples from among the local fishermen and the site where Bethsaida stood. We journey to Nazareth and Cana, site of Jesus' first miracle. From there we make our way to the House of Hope, a peace making community in Shefar-Am, near Nazareth. We will have lunch and tell stories with the community gathered there. We return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

    Day 6 BETHSHAN / JERICHO/MASADA / JERUSALEM

Then on to Jericho, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. We visit Qumran, discovery site of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the cave in which they are searching for the ashes of the red heifer. Then we visit Masada, the fortress where 960 Jewish Zealots held out against the Romans for three years then committed suicide rather than surrender. We will then go up to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
