Stories of St. James - Spain
Tradition says that St. James the Fisherman came to Spain after
Jesus resurrection to preach the Gospel. Legend has it that James'
body was buried in Spain after his execution. In the Middle Ages the
miraculous "discovery" of his burial place led to the establishment of
a pilgrimage site in Santiago ("St. James") de Compostela--one of the
most popular destinations for Christian pilgrims in the time. As we
see visit the beautiful sites of Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Avila and
Salamanca, we hear the stories of James, arriving at last in Santiago!
